…wondering if I’ll make it through April without turning on the a/c. It was amazing to me just to get past March. Only 3 more days, but they are supposed to be warm ones.
…reading The Irresistible Revolution by Shane Claiborne. I learned that he knew Rich Mullins and that was cool. He called Mother Teresa on the phone and she invited him to come and see what they were doing in Calcutta. So he did and that’s very cool. I’m not done with the book, so I’m not sure I will be in total agreement with him on everything, but I am definitely thinking about it all. And that is very cool, too. *
…praying for my 11yo who very reluctantly went on a Scout campout this weekend. Broke a momma’s heart seeing those tears today.
…watching Night at the Museum (actually not today, but this weekend). Again. We saw it once when it was first run, saw it last Sunday at the cheap theater and then I bought the DVD tonight. Love it!
…promising my 8yo that I’ll watch Transformer movie trailers tomorrow with him online.
…hoping my 4yo stays in his own bed all night tonight.
…mailing in the form to do parent taught driver’s ed with my 15yo. His choices of vehicles to learn to drive are a Suburban (big) or a VW Jetta TDI (small, but stick shift). This is going to be… interesting.
*Footnote: The footnotes in the book are fun to read. And they are right on the page they reference so I don’t have to keep flipping to the back to read them like Ragamuffin Gospel, which is a good book but the flipping back and forth sorta breaks up my reading rhythm.
